Plen Air Painting in Utah

This last week marks the one year anniversary of my first plein air painting!

I stumbled upon plein air painting last year during spring break when I headed to Indian Creek, Utah with some friends. I knew I had some time to kill during the trip so I threw a few of my paints in my pack last minute, and had no expectations of using them. Needless to say, I brought all the wrong colors, was totally unprepared but instantly fell in love with outdoor painting.

This year when I returned to Utah, I was a little more prepared.

We visited Zion National Park, Horse Shoe Bend in Arizona, Indian Creek, and Arches National Park!
